Massive UP Police Recruitment: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Sunday that the state government is planning to recruit 100,000 young people into the police force over the next two years. This announcement was made during a meeting and membership workshop of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), as reported by news agency PTI. During the event, Adityanath emphasized the government’s commitment to a fair and transparent recruitment process for government jobs, stating, “Today, there is no discrimination against the youth in the state. Recruitment to government jobs is being conducted in a fair and transparent manner.” He reiterated the government’s goal, saying, “In the next two years, we will recruit one lakh youth into the UP Police.”
Reflecting on his tenure’s accomplishments, Adityanath highlighted that over the past seven and a half years, more than 650,000 youth have been provided with jobs across various sectors. He also mentioned the recent completion of a significant police recruitment examination, which will enable over 60,200 young people to join the force. This recruitment drive is seen as part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen law enforcement and create more job opportunities for the youth.

Adityanath called on the youth to participate in politics with integrity and a sense of service to the state and the nation. He stressed that “politics should be about promoting state and national interests, not personal gain. We must resist temptation and never compromise on our values.” His comments were seen as a direct appeal to young leaders to maintain high ethical standards.
He also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition, pointing out that some political figures who were once criticized for their values are now being praised for electoral gains. He added, “These are the same people who support those who spread hatred against the country.” Adityanath specifically targeted the Congress party, accusing it of opposing key figures like Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, despite having ruled the country for the longest period.
The meeting of the BJYM’s working committee and the membership workshop began with a traditional Swasti Vachan, and it was attended by several notable leaders, according to a district administration official. The event was marked by discussions on youth engagement and the future direction of the organization.
During his visit to Varanasi, Adityanath paid homage to local religious sites, including the Baba Kaal Bhairav and Shri Kashi Vishwanath temples, where he was warmly received by devotees chanting “Har Har Mahadev.” His visit underscored his connection to the spiritual and cultural heritage of the region.
This recruitment initiative comes at a time when Uttar Pradesh recently conducted what is considered one of the largest police recruitment exams, with over 3.2 million candidates vying for 60,000 positions, reflecting the high demand for government jobs in the state. The government’s efforts are seen as part of a broader strategy to not only enhance law and order but also to provide significant employment opportunities to the youth, thereby contributing to the state’s overall development.
